The challenge
This one was a pleasant surprise — a small web agency in Collingwood, Canada getting a call from Kenya about creating the brand and website for a brand-new travel company.
We immediately loved the energy of the Tropisch team.
They wanted an upmarket identity and premium-looking website, but like many new businesses, they were working with a careful startup budget. No problem — we created a payment plan that allowed them to launch properly without compromising the vision.
The site itself had clear jobs to do: showcase image-rich tours in detail, support online booking, feel polished and trustworthy, and leave room for Tropisch to grow beyond African travel in the future.
What we built
We started with the brand.
Tropisch needed an identity that felt refined, adventurous and international — strong enough for African travel today, flexible enough for destinations far beyond it later.
From there we created a highly visual website built around the experience of travel: strong destination imagery, detailed tour itineraries visitors can scan day by day, clear calls to action, and an integrated booking journey from tour page to enquiry.
Complex trip information stays easy to explore — without the site feeling crowded — and the brand and structure were built so Tropisch can add new destinations and travel types later without reinventing itself.
The result
Tropisch launched looking like an established travel company rather than a brand-new startup.
The best result came almost immediately.
Within the first week of the new website going live, the Tropisch team emailed us to say bookings were already coming through the site.
That is ultimately what good design should do — not simply look beautiful, but give a new business the confidence and tools to start moving.
From Collingwood to Kenya, this was a project we loved being part of.
And yes — guess where we're going on vacation next year?
